A leading, globally relevant gold company is seeking an experienced Nipper/Truck driver to join their team in Kalgoorlie for a Residential role.
Job Requirements:
- National Police Clearance;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen;
- Have a C class manual drivers’ license;
- Knowledge of underground mining.
Position Duties:
- Perform thorough pre-start checks on equipment before operation;
- Assist jumbo operator who drills holes for the installation of rocks, bolts and mesh;
- Ensure timely and proper setup of headings;
- Remove unused equipment and excess ground support from completed headings;
- Partake in ad hoc tasks such as delivery, pick up and transport of mining equipment and personnel within the underground mine;
- Assessing potential hazards and making the necessary changes to rectify them;
- Remove all waste from work areas.
