We are currently seeking an experienced Metallurgist to join a high-performing gold operation in Western Australia. This is role responsible for driving plant performance, optimisation, and metallurgical excellence across site. FIFO 8/6 Roster | Western Australia.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Metallurgy;
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role;
- Strong background in metallurgical accounting and gold processing;
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities;
- Current Section 26 (S26) qualification (highly regarded/required);
- WA Driver’s Licence.
Position Duties:
- Monitor plant performance and ensure operating parameters remain within target ranges;
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly metallurgical accounting and reporting;
- Analyse plant data and provide insights to improve production and recovery;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the processing plant;
- Collaborate with Mining, Geology, and Processing teams to optimise outcomes;
- Oversee laboratory performance to ensure accurate and timely results;
- Maintain and promote strong safety standards and compliance.
- The role will be very hands-on, with responsibilities extending beyond metallurgy.
