We are currently seeking a Mine Geologist for a contract opportunity with a gold mining operation in Western Australia. The successful candidate will provide grade control and RC drilling support while assisting with day-to-day mine geology activities across the operation.
The role
- Support RC drilling activities across two rigs, working as part of the geology team.
- Assist with drill coverage, geological logging and sampling activities.
- Provide general day-to-day mine geology support.
- Assist with geological data collection, QA/QC and reporting.
- Support the broader geology team with operational requirements.
- Work safely and effectively within site procedures and standards.
About you
- Previous gold mining experience is highly regarded.
- Experience supporting RC drilling programs.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with Surpac, Datamine or similar geological software would be advantageous; however, training can be provided.
- Current manual driver's licence.
- An Australian driver's licence is preferred; overseas licences will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Ability to meet standard site medical and pre-employment requirements.
- Ability to provide a current police clearance.
Working arrangements
- This is a contract position with a duration of 4 months.
- FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
- The role is expected to commence on 23 October 2026.
