SM18562 Senior Underground Mine Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join an established mining operation in Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong underground mining professional to take a key role in short, medium and long-term mine planning, working closely with the Underground Manager, Technical Services and Operations teams to deliver safe and achievable production outcomes.

The Role

Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term mine plans
Prepare detailed mine designs, schedules and production plans
Coordinate development and production planning
Optimise mine sequencing, production and resource utilisation
Monitor actual performance against plan and identify improvement opportunities
Work closely with Mining, Geology, Geotechnical and Ventilation teams
Provide technical support to underground operations
Ensure plans are practical, achievable and aligned with operational requirements

About You

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
Strong underground mining experience
Proven experience in mine planning and scheduling
Strong understanding of underground mining methods and production processes
Experience with Deswik and/or similar mine planning software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
WA mining experience highly regarded
