Our client, a growing Australian gold producer, is seeking an experienced Mining Manager to lead mining operations at a developing gold project in Western Australia. This role offers an opportunity to join a site during its production ramp-up phase and play a key leadership role in establishing safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • +10 years' experience in open-pit and underground mining operations.
  • Site Senior Executive Certificate of Competency (Desirable).
  • First-Class Manager's Ticket (Desirable).
  • Strategic thinker when it comes to planning, risk management, risk mitigation and business improvements.
  • Solid technical and working knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams to meet set targets and objectives.
  • Strong ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficient in mining planning software (Deswik)

Position Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, as well as other appropriate legislation;
  • Manage all aspects of open pit and underground mining;
  • Drive high performance and deliver outcomes in a timly manner;
  • Overseeing mine planning, scheduling, and execution;
  • Leading and mentoring mining supervisors, engineers, and operational teams;
  • Ensuring compliance with Western Australian mining regulations and safety systems;
  • Collaborating with geology, processing, and maintenance teams to optimise performance;
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
