Our client, an ASX 200-listed Perth-based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team and a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations, is looking for a Senior Underground Mining Engineer to join its team.
Requirements;
- Current WA class C manual driver's licence;
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering;
- WA First class mine manager’s certificate of competency (preferred but not essential);
- Advanced computer skills required for mine planning, D&B, scheduling, e.g. Surpac, Deswik;
Position Duties:
- Short to medium term mine planning activities;
- Monitoring progress against plan/budget and reporting significant deviations;
- Examining mining methods and equipment to improve performance;
- Overseeing and approving drill and blast plans;
- Monitoring and simulation of mine ventilation and dewatering network;
- Supervising the activities of lesser-experienced mining engineers and other technical staff;
- Ensuring development and infrastructure designs are practical and cost-effective;
- Develop and maintain electronic and other filing systems for mine planning, design and
construction;
- Conduct project work as directed by the Underground leadership group as required;

Over 7 years underground mining operational experience in an underground hard rock environment
