The company reported a 131.9Mt Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource at the Wuudagu Bauxite Project, describing this as a 108% increase from its 2025 drilling program. VBX also said the 6.6km² Wuudagu G plateau remains untested.
VBX said its optimisation work includes an increase in planned mining and beneficiation throughput from 6Mtpa to between 8Mtpa, alongside improved product mass recovery from about 60% to about 70% using a +3.35mm screen size. The company said the DFS timetable was extended to incorporate these opportunities.
Wuudagu is being assessed by the EPA and DCCEEW under a public accredited assessment, VBX said. The company stated that baseline terrestrial and marine surveys were complete and that it expects key environmental approvals in 2027 to enable construction to commence.
