Medallion schedules Cosmic Boy processing as Kundip development advances

Medallion Metals has provided a development update for its Ravensthorpe Gold Project and Forrestania Gold Project, stating that both projects are progressing on schedule and within budget. The company said third-party ore processing at the Cosmic Boy Concentrator is scheduled to commence in October under its Early Production Strategy.

At Kundip, bulk earthworks were reported to be 50% complete and box-cut excavation 38% complete, with about 29,000 bank cubic metres excavated. The first box-cut blast was completed on 10 October, according to the company.

Medallion said Macmahon was preparing to mobilise to Kundip in late October, ahead of portal establishment in November and the planned first cut of the underground decline in December 2026. The company is targeting first underground ore in the second quarter of 2027 for transport to Cosmic Boy for processing.

At Cosmic Boy, Medallion said the crushing circuit is operational and mill feed is being accumulated in the fine ore bin. About 5,000 tonnes of Teddy Bear stockpile material is planned for the initial processing campaign, while third-party material is being delivered ahead of toll treatment following commissioning.
