Great Southern reports maiden RC gold results at Amy Clarke

The company said the maiden program intersected gold along a 4.7km mineralised corridor at Amy Clarke. Drilling to date has been shallow, averaging less than 100m below surface, with mineralisation observed from surface in the oxidised horizon and at depth in fresh rock.

Reported standout intercepts included 5m at 6.71g/t gold from 51m, including 3m at 10.4g/t gold, in hole 26ACRC008; and 11m at 1.86g/t gold from 45m, including 2m at 8.92g/t gold, in hole 26ACRC018.

Great Southern said shallow intercepts exceeding 1g/t gold have been defined over the 4.7km strike length. It said gold mineralisation is associated with quartz veining, pyrite and silica-sericite alteration, and occurs in both the oxide horizon and fresh rock.

The company has commenced planning follow-up RC drilling and potential diamond drilling, alongside detailed geological and structural mapping and multielement geochemistry. It said initial drilling is anticipated to focus on open mineralised lodes in the northern and central parts of the trend.
