Aurelia reports FY26 profit growth as Federation reaches commercial production

Aurelia Metals said FY26 revenue rose 40% to A$480.2 million and statutory net profit after tax increased 69% to A$82.7 million for the year ended 30 June 2026. Statutory EBITDA was A$189.2 million, up 55% on the prior year.

Federation commenced commercial production on 1 July 2025. The operation mined 360,000 tonnes of ore during FY26, about 30,000 tonnes above plan, while the Peak processing plant treated 806,000 tonnes for the year. Group production totalled 50,369 ounces of gold, 2,504 tonnes of copper, 28,300 tonnes of zinc and 17,823 tonnes of lead.

The company said its Peak processing expansion is intended to lift throughput from 800,000 tonnes per annum to 1.1–1.2 million tonnes per annum. A new tailings thickener was commissioned in June 2026, while commissioning of a tertiary ball mill was expected in the first half of FY27. Aurelia invested A$18.9 million in the processing-plant expansion projects during FY26.

At Great Cobar, Aurelia completed 1,823 metres of development in FY26 and said the project remained on schedule and budget. The company targets first ore in FY28 and a ramp-up to 500,000 tonnes per annum from FY30; these are company targets and remain forward-looking.
