Primero has won Ramelius Resources' Mount Magnet Expansion Project, strengthening NRW Holdings' gold processing work in Western Australia.
NRW announced the award on 14 September. The expansion will improve processing infrastructure and support integration of multiple ore sources across the Mount Magnet production hub.
New circuit expands processing capacity
Primero's scope includes a new crushing circuit and coarse ore stockpile, a new grinding circuit, additional leach tanks and associated gold processing infrastructure.
The works add a three-million-tonne-a-year circuit alongside the existing two-million-tonne-a-year plant. That existing plant will process Dalgaranga ore at a finer grind and a nominal rate of 1.3 million tonnes a year.
Mining award forms part of broader contract update
The announcement's approximately $313 million headline covers the Mount Magnet award together with optional Tonkin Highway works for Main Roads WA. It does not disclose a separate value for the Mount Magnet contract.
NRW said the processing award strengthens Primero's engineering, procurement and construction order book. The announcement gives no Mount Magnet completion date, project workforce number, confirmed vacancies or recruitment timetable.
