Experienced Gold Room Operator

Mining Employment Services (MES) is currently seeking an experienced Gold Room Operator to join our client, an established gold exploration, development and production company operating in Western Australia. FIFO Roster 8/6.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and safety-focused operator to join an established gold processing operation, contributing to the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Gold Room and associated processing circuits.

The successful candidate will have proven Gold Room experience, including hands-on operation of elution circuit, along with a sound understanding of gold recovery processes, plant operations and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and monitor Gold Room equipment and gold recovery processes;

• Operate and monitor elution circuits and Acacia reactors, ensuring efficient gold recovery;

• Monitor gold recovery processes, maintaining operating parameters and reporting any process deviations;

• Assist with the operation of associated processing plant circuits, including;

  • Elution and gold recovery;

  • Gravity separation;

  • Leaching and adsorption;

  • Reagent preparation and handling;

• Conduct routine inspections of Gold Room equipment, identifying operational abnormalities and maintenance requirements;

• Assist with preventative maintenance, fault identification and troubleshooting to minimise plant downtime;

• Perform plant and equipment isolations in accordance with site procedures;

• Maintain accurate production records, operational logs and shift handovers;

• Undertake hazard identification, risk assessments and incident reporting;

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, security, safety and environmental compliance.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous Gold Room operating experience within a gold processing environment – essential;

• Demonstrated hands-on experience operating elution circuits;

• Valid WA C Class Driver's Licence;

• Current Confined Space Entry certification;

• Current Working at Heights certification;

• Sound understanding of gold recovery processes and associated processing plant equipment;

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills;

• Ability to work independently and effectively within a production team;

• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards;

• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
