An established and high-performing underground gold operation in Western Australia is seeking experienced Grader Operators / Watercart Operators to join their team on a FIFO 14-14 Roster.
This is a great opportunity for experienced mobile plant operators looking to join a strong underground mining operation.
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating graders and watercarts safely and efficiently to support underground mining operations, road maintenance, dust suppression and general site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Grader and Watercart equipment;
- Maintain and grade underground and surface roads;
- Complete road maintenance, drainage and bunding works;
- Carry out dust suppression and watering of roads and work areas;
- Maintain safe and accessible roads across the operation;
- Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks;
- Identify and report equipment faults or hazards;
- Assist with general site and mining activities as required;
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping;
- Work closely with supervisors and other mining crews;
- Follow all site safety procedures and operational standards.
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous Grader and/or Watercart operating experience;
- Solid mining or civil earthmoving experience;
- Experience operating mobile plant in a mining environment;
- Strong operating skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team;
- Strong commitment to safety;
- Australian Manual C Class Driver’s Licence;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen;
- Valid working rights in Australia.
Experience with CAT graders and watercarts will be highly regarded.
