An established and high-performing underground gold operation in Western Australia is seeking experienced Underground Service Crew Operators to join their team on a FIFO.
This is a great opportunity for experienced underground operators looking for a FIFO position on an 8/6 - 7/7.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting underground mining operations by installing and maintaining essential underground services, while working safely and efficiently as part of a busy mining crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain underground air, water and ventilation services;
- Install and extend underground pipework and services;
- Assist with ventilation installation and management;
- Conduct underground service maintenance and repairs;
- Operate underground mobile equipment as required;
- Assist with development and production activities;
- Carry out general underground service crew duties;
- Conduct pre-starts and equipment inspections;
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment;
- Work closely with underground supervisors and other mining crews;
- Follow site safety procedures and mine standards at all times.
About You:
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous underground Service Crew experience;
- Solid underground mining background;
- Experience installing underground services including air, water and ventilation;
- Experience with underground mobile equipment;
- Poly welding and pipe installation experience highly regarded;
- Strong commitment to safe work practices;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Australian Manual C Class Driver’s Licence;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen;
- Valid working rights in Australia.
