Key responsibilities of this role include;
Provide leadership to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards
Lead activities of the Metallurgy Team to assure cost effective and high quality metal recovery activities including accurate budgeting, metallurgical accounting and reconciliation.
Implement and monitor operations budgeting and cost control systems
Provide technical input into the ongoing development and expansion
Liaise with other departments to achieve optimum throughput and recovery
Pro-actively participate and contribute to department tactical plan
Qualifications and Experience required to be successful;
Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
At least five years experience in industry with exposure to gold processing and flotation required.
Prior experience in Africa is desirable but will consider those candidates with other overseas experience.
