Our client, one of Australia's leading Gold explorers, is seeking an experienced Safety Service Officer to join their team. The ASX Listed company is currently in a great period of expansion and production in two of the most exciting gold regions in WA.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Surface Extraction;
- Certificate IV in Health Care;
- Certificate IV in WHS;
- Training in Underground Search and Rescue (including BG4 training);
- Knowledge of relevant WHS legal and other requirements (Federal and State).
- Ability to provide direction in the ESO field.
Position Duties:
- Provide guidance, advice, and support to team members to assist in their development of emergency response and medical training;
- Review WHS documentation such as principal mining hazard management plans / procedures / risk assessments;
- Lead the Emergency Response Team;
- Ensure that WHS accountabilities and commitments are understood by employees and contractors.
