Our client has several gold projects across the goldfields region of Western Australia and they require an Emergency Services Officer for an immediate start.
The position will be a FIFO from Perth, on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster. There is an opportunity to gain fulltime permanent work after a contract period.
Job Requirements:-
Underground and Surface Operation experience
Reporting to the OHS Manager
Provide first medical response as required
Conduct regular inspections on site medical facilities to ensure they are stocked and maintained
Update Emergency Management Plan for each area as directed
Facilitate emergency evacuation drill schedule for the site as per the schedule
Conduct weekly/monthly inspections of ER, medical equipment and vehicles (daily)
Conduct regular underground inspections (refuge chamber and escapeway) in conjunction with underground OHS Trainers
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Essential)
Certificate IV Pre Hospital Care (Essential)
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Essential)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in OH&S practitioner (Essential) preferably in the Resources sector
Current driver's licence
Current police clearance is required or able to obtain one
Full working rights to work in Australia
